Woman in Swaziland have little to no social standing. Even today, it is illegal in certain parts of the country for women to wear pants, and register property in their own names. Generally, women have to rely on men for nearly everything. Violence against women is high, and continuing to increase, as the government stands by and doesn't react to these blatant hate crimes.

I believe that this treatment is terrible and needs to be stopped by the government. I also think that the only reason men believe they are superior, is because they force women down to where they have no choice but to depend on them. If the government would enforce some laws protecting women, then the matter would not even had made the news.

This article ties in to culture, because social class systems are a huge part of a countries culture. it important to know how the people interact with each other, and how certain people are treated as opposed to a different group of people. Also, how the structure effects their daily lives, and activities.
