I think its wonderful that the Haitian people have been given an opportunity to reestablish there culture, and remake so much of the art and treasure that were lost in the earthquake. Hopefully, people will start to pay for these precious works and they can slowly progress to getting back on their feet economically.

Although Haiti is still recovering from the destructive Earthquake in 2010, they are mending well enough to where their so talked about, colorful culture is shining through once again. Mulholland is in Port-Au-Prince working with some talented Haitian song artists. While there, he notices that many artists of all aspects are getting back to work painting, weaving, and anything artsy.

This article ties in to culture because it clearly says that there culture is being reestablished in Haiti. The author is even working with song artists, to help them get discovered, and music is definitely a huge part of culture. Also, the people he mentions that are getting to work on some other aspects of the culture, just the art in general, has everything to do with culture.
